FOR 2025 CHINESE BRUSH PAINTING - Instructor Lisa Curry
Painting Pines in the Pine Forest!!
I have taught the art of painting pines in the Chinese style a number of times, and the best results of the participants in my classes have been at Camp de Benneville Pines! Why is that? Because we take time at the beginning to carefully look at the amazing pines that surround us in the camp. We see the texture and shapes of the trunks and branches, and the strength of the needles. It is the experience of pine that each participant absorbs that comes through in their painting.
You will be learning how to hold the brush in the Chinese manner, make the strokes, and use the Chinese ink to paint your subjects on rice paper.
After painting, learn the Chinese calligraphy for Pine Tree. You might want to sign your name in the form of a Chinese seal!
Come join the fun!
