Confirmed For 2025: Life Drawing - Instructor Jamie Utter
LIFE DRAWING - Surprise yourself! Let Jamie introduce you to drawing the human body in a natural, low-pressure series of exercises that will engage you in seeing and drawing with new confidence. Whether you are an experienced pro or a complete novice, drawing from a nude model for five intensive class sessions will surely sharpen your skills enough to yield work you're truly proud of. So surprise yourself.
This class will have a Model Fee of $45.
Jamie Utter:
North San Diego County based artist, Jamie Utter has been honing her drawing and painting skills over her lifetime. She's always been particularly fascinated by the human figure as a subject. She enjoys exploring many different mediums such as graphite, charcoal, pastels, ink, watercolor, gauche, and acrylic.
She's a founding member of the Encinitas Art Group Blacktable and is a contributor to Expressions Magazine. She's also a member of the San Diego Urban Sketchers along with the Inland Painters.
Background
She's studied art and figure/portrait drawing at MiraCosta College for several years, as well as with Jean Krumbein at the Athenaeum among other venues. In the past she's substituted for Marcia Rose's watercolor journaling workshop at Camp De Benneville Pines and really loves sharing techniques and methods with others in a supportive non-threatening way.
